Hawzah News Agency- Mokhber affirmed that Iran is aware of its adversaries' points of weakness, noting that field surprises and leverage in the oil and energy sectors could help tip the balance.
His remarks come as energy markets are bracing for months of elevated prices as the US-Israeli war on Iran continues to threaten West Asian oil supplies, driving crude above $117 a barrel on Friday and adding pressure on American consumers and businesses.
Trading in futures contracts indicated that Brent crude could remain above $100 through April 2027, reflecting diminishing confidence among investors that the conflict will reach a swift resolution, The New York Times reported.
Concerns about a prolonged war have intensified amid reports that US and Israeli military planners have prepared options for attacks on Iran after the US midterm elections. Such reports have added to uncertainty over when regional energy flows might stabilize.
Earlier this week, Mokhber asserted that the United States has not achieved even 10 percent of its objectives in the ongoing war.
He stressed that, despite all the propaganda surrounding "Israel", it is wholly incapable of acting without direct American backing.
Mokhber said Washington entered the war against Iran with its full force. He rejected claims that Europe, NATO and other powers are playing no part in the confrontation.
He pointed out that the US bases in European countries, in addition to UK bases, are at the disposal of the Americans, who are using them fully in the escalating confrontation with Iran.
